Interviews are typically held each year in February. The interviews are conducted by our Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (JATC) board, therefore the board determines which applicants are accepted into the program each year.

Once the selected individuals are notified, they will be instructed of a date and location to take their drug and substance screening. Everyone must pass the screening before they are officially accepted into the program.
All Signatory Contractors provide drug free workplaces.

Our Apprenticeship program is a four year program, you begin by going through a preliminary seven week hands on training course. During the seven week hands on training you will receive First Aid and CPR training as well as OSHA 30 certification. If you are already trained in these areas you will receive this training again.
Following the hands on training there will be related training for the remainder of four years.  Attendance is mandatory, having a form of transportation is required.

Each year the JATC determines the amount of Apprentices that will be accepted into the program, this is based on many different criteria. The number of Apprentices that will be accepted in the 2011 class has not been determined yet.
Pay is based on a percentage of Journeyman wage, Journeyman wage varies depending on what part of the state you are working in. We do not know what the 2011 Journeyman scale will be.
All of our Signatory Contractors are EOE’s. Please see our Equal Opportunity Pledge for more information.
